CI failing due to incorrect GCC version #8

My dev system has GCC 6.4 which seems to support some features which GCC 6.3 does not, which means that my code compiles on my computer while it does not on CircleCI.
I either need to downgrade to GCC 6.3 or upgrade the Docker image to GCC 6.4
