As @AzureAaron suggested, we should probably bump our minimum supported java version to 21.
With 1.8.9 basically out of the picture, i think we can confidently say that most of our consumers should be on J21 at least, if not newer. We would get some nice features like records and such out of such a version bump, and if we end up adding functionality for sharing between different mods i'd rather be stuck with the java 21 style ABIs than something newer. That entire sharing thing deserves its own discussion however.
