ZoneTree.Analytics 1.0.2: 2.5× faster reports, 2.9× faster ingestion

ZoneTree.Analytics 1.0.2 is now available. Since 1.0.0, every measured workload is substantially faster on a dataset of 5 million events.

Every run completed with zero errors, dropped events, or rejected events. The benchmark documentation covers the method, query plans, and raw timings. To reproduce the query measurements, run yarn benchmark:queries.

Also in this release

• The dashboard's ingestion benchmark can run with or without secondary indexes, to show what index maintenance costs.
• A data directory that cannot be loaded now fails at startup with a clear error instead of starting a new dataset.
• Storage internals are simplified: indexes share a single lifecycle, and metadata uses a checksummed format.

Upgrade note

Metadata now uses a checksummed binary format. Data directories created by earlier versions must be re-ingested.
