Etesync crashes on syncing calendar (Android 12)

On launching Etesync on my phone (Xiaomi Poco NFC, Android 12), it crashes and states to report a error. However, it opens nevertheless.

When syncing manually afterwards, it does snyc the contacts (so creating/deleting on one phone and seeing on the other). However, calendar entries are no longer synchronized.

I re-installed it, but it didn't help.
I do not know how to extract more information about this under Android unfortunately.

Does anyone else have that problem?
Can I gather more information to help solve the issue? If so, how?

Same for me. My other phone has 2.4.4 and works fine. Got a new phone, installed 2.6 and crashes on sync. Both latest grapheneos.

To be more precise, using temporarily (then updating to 2.6.0) 2.4.4 makes Android device Synchronize now no more crash, but on 2.6.0 if App info > Clear storage, then Synchronize now faces again the issue, so the server calendar is not patched.

As far as I experimented increasing:

to 23 seems to solve the crash on LineageOS 23.0 (Android 16).

fdroid/fdroiddata/-/blob/1f417a62080283a6781b523c24b1485fb3db70e2/metadata/com.etesync.syncadapter.yml ndk should probably be updated to 23 as well.

Well it seems that updating minSdkVersion from 21 to 23 does not solve the issue finally on my Fairphone 4 LineageOS 23.2 main EteSync account. So as mentioned in YouTrack, I downgrade targetSdkVersion from 36 to 34.

If some are willing to test my updated SDK version:

etesync/android/pull/296 does not seem relevant.
