Cant open minecraft 1.8.9

Modrinth App 0.17.2 macOS 26.2.0

What operating systems are you seeing the problem on?

MacOS

Describe the bug

Cant open minecraft 1.8.9. upon launch it immediately says "Error launching Minecraft: Could not canonicalize library path /Users/Me/Library/Application Support/ModrinthApp/meta/libraries/tv/twitch/twitch-platform/6.5/twitch-platform-6.5.jar: No such file or directory (os error 2). I found the same issue here #6006 but their fix for me is not working. not even vanilla 1.8.9

Steps to reproduce

1. Create the 1.8.9 forge instance
2. Launch it
3. Im on mac there might not be this issue for windows/linux users

Expected behavior

I expected the game to open
