I have observed several times and on several (Windows) machines that when a new instance of VS Code is started, it takes a noticeable amount of time before the Oracle SQL Developer icon appears in the extension bar on the left hand side.
When helping new users with their installation and setup it often causes them a few anxious moments until the icon appears.
I'm sure you understand how this could be improved, I'd love to see what you come up with.
