fix(web): apply category spec templates to compare, leaderboard, export and api v1 - #1182
Follow-up to #1142 / PR #1163. Every remaining spec surface now reads the category's spec view from applyCategorySpecTemplate (@repo/shared-data/rules), the same view the product page shows.
Surface
Change
/compare (CompareWorkspace.tsx)
Products are scoped to the active category before any row, verdict or export reads them. Groups and rows follow the template (order included): earbuds lose display, camera, cellular, CPU/GPU, RAM, ROM, OS and NFC rows; watches lose the camera group and the 5G row. CSV, JSON and Markdown exports use the same rows.
Leaderboard (LeaderboardExplorer.tsx)
Category products are scoped, so the RAM/ROM pills disappear for earbuds. Scoring is unchanged: the earbud and watch scoring branches read no field the template removes.
Spec export (ProductSpecsExportToolbar.tsx)
buildProductSpecExportRows(specs, keySpecs, categorySlug) scopes values and drops rows the category does not have; the JSON export carries the scoped specs. The product page passes its category. Markdown title no longer claims "10-Field-Groups".
buildKeySpecLine (product-competitors.ts)
Optional categorySlug scopes the line for callers outside the product page.
REST API v1
Decision: GET /api/v1/rate/products, /products/[slug] and /compare return the category's spec view, as rate.vn shows it (documented in the route comments). Query filters still match the stored columns.
Watch network text
Display mode of applyCategorySpecTemplate drops the 5G parts of cellular.technology and cellular.data_speed for a category that hides 5G ("LTE / 5G" becomes "LTE", 5GHz Wi-Fi untouched). Storage mode (importer) keeps them.
Acceptance
No earbud value for screen, refresh rate, ppi, RAM, ROM or camera on /compare, the leaderboard or the export: covered by apps/web/src/lib/__tests__/spec-template.test.ts (compare row ids and rendered cells, export rows, key spec line, leaderboard source).
No "5G" for a smartwatch on those surfaces: compare rows and cells, export rows, and the shared rule (packages/shared-data suite).
Tests per surface: compare, export, key spec line, leaderboard, API v1 list/detail/compare.

This PR implements a "Category Spec Template" system that dynamically filters product specifications based on the product's category (e.g., hiding RAM/Storage for earbuds, or 5G for smartwatches) across the UI, API, and export features. It ensures that users only see relevant technical details for the specific type of device they are viewing or comparing.
📌 TL;DR
Implements category-aware specification filtering to hide irrelevant technical fields (like RAM for earbuds or 5G for watches) across the product detail page, comparison tools, leaderboards, and REST API endpoints.
Adds tests for 5G text stripping in free-text cellular fields for smartwatches.
packages/shared-data/src/rules/spec-template.ts
Implements withoutFiveGText to strip 5G references from free-text cellular fields (e.g., "LTE / 5G" → "LTE") when the category hides 5G.

Summary by CodeRabbit
Improvements
Product specifications now reflect the selected category across product pages, comparisons, rankings, API responses, and exports. Irrelevant fields are omitted, making product details easier to compare.
Category-specific exports and key-spec summaries now include only applicable information.
For categories that do not support 5G, displayed network details omit 5G information while retaining other network details when available.
…rt and api v1
/compare, the leaderboard rows, the spec export, the key spec line and the
REST API v1 product, list and compare responses now read the category's
spec view from applyCategorySpecTemplate, like the product page (#1142).
An earbud shows no screen, RAM, ROM or camera there and a watch no 5G row.
Display mode of applyCategorySpecTemplate also drops the 5G parts of a
watch's free-text network fields ("LTE / 5G" becomes "LTE"); storage mode
keeps them.

Category specification templates now scope product data and specification rows across comparison, leaderboard, exports, key-spec lines, and API v1 responses. Display-mode filtering also removes 5G portions from cellular text when the category hides 5G.

Summary
Template filtering and cellular text cleanup packages/shared-data/src/rules/spec-template.ts, packages/shared-data/src/__tests__/shared-data.test.ts
Display-mode templates remove 5G portions from cellular technology and data-speed text when the category hides 5G. Tests cover retained LTE text, storage output, and input immutability.
Category-specific comparison products and rows apps/web/src/components/compare/CompareWorkspace.tsx, apps/web/src/lib/__tests__/spec-template.test.ts
Comparison products use the active category template. Specification groups and rows are ordered and filtered by category applicability. Tests check category-specific rows and rendered values.
Category-scoped leaderboard, detail, and exports apps/web/src/components/leaderboard/*, apps/web/src/app/[locale]/smartphones/[slug]/page.tsx, apps/web/src/lib/product-competitors.ts, apps/web/src/lib/__tests__/spec-template.test.ts
Leaderboard products, key-spec lines, and Markdown, CSV, and JSON exports use category-scoped specifications. Tests check applicable values and omitted rows.
Category-scoped API v1 responses apps/web/src/app/api/v1/rate/..., apps/web/src/lib/__tests__/spec-template.test.ts
The products and compare endpoints apply category templates to response data. The product-by-slug route preserves its missing-product response. Route documentation and surface assertions cover the API behavior.

Category-scoped specifications have two minor presentation issues: inconsistent compare heading numbers and malformed cellular text for parenthesized 5G qualifiers. These warrant localized fixes or follow-up but do not materially block product workflows.

Full details: Linked Issues check
Explanation
Issue #1166 is active and directly linked. The PR applies the category template to compare products and rows, leaderboard products, spec exports, buildKeySpecLine, and REST API v1 list, detail, and compare responses. The shared rule removes earbud display, memory, camera, and cellular data, removes smartwatch camera and 5G data, and strips 5G from display-mode cellular text. The focused test suite checks compare rows and cells, export rows, key-spec output, leaderboard wiring, API wiring, and shared-rule behavior. The API routes document the category-scoped response decision while retaining stored-column query filters.

Review follow-up for #1166: the 5G stripping removes bracketed 5G notes and
qualifiers such as "SA/NSA/Sub6", also cleans sim_type, and compare group
headings come from specGroupHeading so a watch has no "5G" heading. An
export row without a field entry stays visible, and the JSON export schema
label no longer claims ten groups.

Review gate: fresh-context subagent review and Codex (codex-rescue agent) on 481c827. Fixed in 48ac252: 5G qualifier leftovers ("SA/NSA/Sub6", "(5G RedCap)", "5G-ready"), sim_type not cleaned, compare cellular heading still saying 5G for watches, export rows vanishing without a field entry, JSON schema label. Open (P2, not in acceptance): API v1 filters still match stored columns, so has5g=true on watches returns items whose body says has_5g: false. Out of scope: the extension lookup endpoint (server/rate/extension.ts) is not scoped.

Strip parenthesized 5G qualifiers before splitting network text.
withoutFiveG splits on / inside (SA/NSA). FIVE_G_TOKEN_RE removes only a 5G token that is directly followed by NR, SA, NSA, or RedCap. When a watch stores technology: 'LTE / 5G NR (SA/NSA)', the cleaned value is 'LTE / (SA / NSA)'. When it stores data_speed: '5G NR (NSA)', the cleaned value is '(NSA)'. The smartwatch product page renders both fields. Remove parenthesized 5G qualifiers before the split, and delete a field that has no text left.
