#### Server log level (self-hosted)

On a self-hosted install, the `mcp-server` container's log verbosity comes from the `DD_MCP_LOGLEVEL` environment variable:

- **Docker Compose:** set `DD_MCP_LOGLEVEL` in the environment the compose file is run from, then recreate the container. The compose default is `INFO`.
- **Kubernetes (Helm):** set `mcpServer.env.logLevel`. The chart default is `INFO`.

Accepted values:

| Value | Logs |
|-------|------|
| `DEBUG` | Everything, including each MCP request, tool call and call to DefectDojo. |
| `INFO` | Startup and shutdown, sessions opening and closing, and rejected connections. |
| `WARN` | Warnings and errors only. |
| `ERROR` | Errors only. |

An unrecognized value falls back to `DEBUG`, and the server logs a warning that names the variable and the accepted values.
