Cannot install Fort Firewall – Error 448: Untrusted mount point #5518
I'm using UniGetUI installed through Scoop. When I try to install Fort Firewall using WinGet in UniGetUI, the installation fails with this error:
Setup was unable to create the directory
"D:\Scoop\apps\unigetui\current\Settings\Temp\ElevatedWinGetTemp\is-WZO96W6JHC.tmp".
Error 448: The path cannot be traversed because it contains an
untrusted mount point.
Steps to reproduce
Install UniGetUI through Scoop.
Open UniGetUI and search for Fort Firewall.
Start installing Fort Firewall using WinGet.
The installer fails with Error 448.
Expected behavior
Fort Firewall should install successfully.
Actual behavior
The installation fails because the setup program cannot create its temporary directory.
I found a related report about the same Windows error in #4366, but my issue occurs while installing Fort Firewall and the failing path is under UniGetUI's ElevatedWinGetTemp directory.
Is there a way to fix this issue when using UniGetUI installed through Scoop?
Gabriel Dufresne (@GabrielDuf) The issue is still present and has not been resolved. Updating Fort Firewall through UniGetUI still fails with Error 448: “The path cannot be traversed because it contains an untrusted mount point
However, if I navigate to the program's installation folder and run the installer manually, the update completes successfully without any errors.
