Refs #131. Every version site to 0.12.0, on top of #170 (this PR's base is its branch; it moves to main once #170 lands).

  • packaging/plugin-hostd.spec: Version: 0.12.0 and its changelog entry.
  • debian/changelog: plugin-hostd (0.12.0).
  • src/main.c: VERSION "0.12.0"; plugin-hostd -V answers version: 0.12.0.
  • doc/plugin-hostd.1, doc/plugin-hostd-probe.1: the .TH line.

The changelog names:

  • the verbs the daemon adds, declared in its package of omx-contract's contract directory (verbs.json beside the format tables) and rendered into plugin_hostd_host_verbs.h, which protocol.h includes;
  • the new noarch package plugin-hostd-contract (deb plugin-hostd-contract, Architecture: all) with contract.d/3/plugin-hostd/{MANIFEST.json,formats/clap.json,formats/lv2.json,verbs.json}, required by plugin-hostd and plugin-hostd-devel (plugin-hostd-dev), Breaks and Replaces the older plugin-hostd-dev;
  • the floor omx-contract-devel (libomx-contract-dev) 3.3.0;
  • the test that holds the declared verbs to the daemon on its socket.

make check-generated, make check-rendered and make test-daemon pass on this branch in a fedora:44 container. Nothing is tagged or published.

The verbs the daemon adds, declared in its contract directory and rendered
into plugin_hostd_host_verbs.h, and the new noarch package
plugin-hostd-contract that carries the contract directory's files
(#131). Spec, Debian changelog, manual pages and the daemon version string
carry 0.12.0; plugin-hostd -V answers 0.12.0.
