…d the harness uses it (#177) tests/lib/protocol.sh (send, expect, wait for the ready marker) and tests/lib/plugin_hostd_client.py are installed in /usr/libexec/plugin-hostd/tests/lib. harness.py and verbs_declared.py drop their own NUL-framed send. tests/protocol_lib.py holds both clients to a peer that splits replies and, as its sabotage, shows that a client framing by newline fails.

Closes #177 on this side: plugin-hostd-tests ships lib/protocol.sh and lib/plugin_hostd_client.py; the harness and verbs_declared.py use the client. omx-clap-core switches its 18 send() copies in its own PR. tests/protocol_lib.py is the check, with a sabotage that frames by newline.
