Keep dayjs as a direct dependency when importing locale modules.
Line 26 tells users to import a dayjs locale, but Line 456 says they can remove dayjs if it was declared only for this SDK. An app importing dayjs/locale/de needs dayjs declared by the app; strict resolvers such as Yarn PnP reject undeclared transitive imports. (yarnpkg.com)
Clarify that users who import locale modules must retain or add dayjs directly, and match the runtime’s supported version range.

… audit Rewrite ai-migration-v14-v15.md grouped by user task so it covers every confirmed BC entry of v15-breaking-changes.md, with the silent breaks first and an index mapping each entry to its section. Fix the inaccuracies the audit listed: messageOperations instead of the non-existent *WithLocalUpdate methods, toTail/toHead paginator directions, thread replies using the channel request handlers, and others. Correct the i18n guide's runtime attribution (@stream-io/i18n), add the strict t and Streami18n API changes, fix the thread request-handler and channelQueryOptions claims in instance-configuration.md, and remap the two send/edit failure rows in the i18n key map.

Fix the useCreateChatClient option mapping (enableWSFallback, wsUrlParams, recoverStateOnReconnect and isLocalUnreadCountEnabled have config keys), add the silent v14 defaults (setActiveChannelOnMount, allowNewMessagesFromUnfilteredChannels, LoadMorePaginator, Thread.autoFocus) and the panel layout change to the silent-break table, and add mappings for useUserRole gating, options.limit, channel custom name/image and held channels after disconnectUser. State the Node >=22.18 engine of stream-chat@10, make every link to this repository absolute (ai-docs and examples do not ship in npm), and add a channels + threads ChatView example with the slot-targeting rules.

| `Channel` used to call `channel.watch()` on mount. That call, `initializeOnMount`, `channelQueryOptions` and the `getChannel` util are removed. **An uninitialized channel passed to `Channel` renders as an empty channel, with no error, and receives no events.** If a channel renders blank, check `channel.initialized` first. | ||

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win
Limit the watched-channel claim to watched queries.
queryChannels supports watch: false (Line 909), and the guide says search queries use it (Line 654). Those results are not watched. Since Channel does not watch an uninitialized channel (Line 709), this statement can lead to an empty channel with no events. Clarify that results are watched only when the query requests it, and direct other callers to ensureWatched().

Goal
Bring the v14 -> v15 integrator guides in line with
ai-docs/v15-breaking-changes.md, the audited source of truth: every confirmedBC-###entry is now covered, and every inaccuracy listed in its "Notes For Migration Guide Drafting" section is fixed.Stacked on #3327 (the breaking-changes audit), which must merge first. The cleanup PR that removes dead v15 props stacks on this one.
Implementation details
ai-docs/ai-migration-v14-v15.md: rewritten and grouped by user task (install and imports, client andChat, layout, workspace navigation, providing a channel, channel list, threads, headers, channel state, customization, message lists, messages, composer, request handlers, configuration, dates, v10 data shapes, i18n, CSS, tests). It opens with a table of the breaks that do not fail to compile (selection and thread opening outsideChatView,Channelno longer watching,MessageList.messagesbeing ignored, failed sends no longer restoring the composer, context hooks throwing, and others), and ends with an index mapping all 77BCentries to their sections. The "not yet exhaustive" banner is removed.channel.messageOperations/messageComposer.send()instead of the non-existent*WithLocalUpdatemethods;toTail()/toHead()andhasMoreTail/hasMoreHeadinstead of the invertedprev/nextmapping; thread replies use the channel's request handlers, and thethreadkey takes onlymarkReadRequest;Channelno longer reloads onconnection.recovered;Threaddoes not register with theThreadManager;useCooldownRemaining(nouseIsCooldownActive);getLatestMessagePreviewis still exported; themessageActionsfilter guards the dropdown-toggle item; the staleportal:pin section is removed.ai-docs/i18n-v15-migration.md: the runtime is attributed to@stream-io/i18n(notstream-chat), the direct@stream-io/i18nimport advice is replaced with the supportedregisterTranslation/dayjsLocaleConfigForLanguagepaths, and the strictt/asDynamicKey, removedStreami18nmembers andFormatterContextchanges are added.ai-docs/instance-configuration.md: thethreadrequest-handler claim is corrected, and thepageSizesection no longer uses the removedchannelQueryOptionsprop.ai-docs/i18n-v15-key-map.json: "Send message request failed" / "Edit message request failed" now map tonotification.messageSendFailed/notification.messageUpdateFailed.AGENTS.md: notes thatuseMessagePaginator()is internal and not exported.tscagainstsrc/andstream-chat@10.0.0-rc.22. Every anchor link resolves. Prettier passes.Known gaps, left for follow-ups: 8 more rows in
i18n-v15-key-map.jsonpoint at keys absent from the current catalog (for example thetimestamp.relative*keys andnotification.jumpToFirstUnreadFailed), and the AGENTS.md i18n example useschannel.memberCount.title, which is not a key.UI Changes
None (docs only).
