Description

This PR combines security dependency updates and container base image refreshes:

  1. Container Base Images (CVE-2026-111943 / GO-2026-6809):

    • Updates Dockerfile and Dockerfile-operator from sha256:23795be0... (July 2026) to multi-arch index digest gcr.io/distroless/static:nonroot@sha256:d62067879de890a1def9da0e7766b7d20810a5e5555cef8506b752437d7a3e88, removing distrusted root CA certificates (emSign ECC Root CA - G3 and AAA Certificate Services).
  2. Default Injected Proxy Image:

    • Updates DefaultProxyImage in internal/workload/podspec_updates.go from 2.25.2 to 2.26.3 so proxy containers injected by the operator automatically use the fixed base images and latest Go runtime patch.
  3. Go Dependencies (GO-2026-6617):

    • Updates golang.org/x/net to v0.61.0 (fixing HTTP/2 race condition).
    • Updates cloud.google.com/go/cloudsqlconn to v1.25.4, google.golang.org/grpc to v1.84.0, and google.golang.org/api to v0.301.0.

Verification

  • make test: All unit and integration test suites pass (internal/api/v1, internal/controller, internal/testintegration, internal/workload).
  • govulncheck: 0 vulnerabilities in application and imported modules.
