Requests now stop after 5 minutes or 256 MB by default. Add --timeout and --max-response-mb to change these limits. Limit failures do not print or save partial results, and existing output files are left untouched.

Prepare version 2.1.2 with updated README downloads, flag descriptions and release notes. Existing commands, output formats, saved configuration and API-error exit behavior remain unchanged. Arabic requests continue to pass lang=ar and preserve Arabic response text.

The macOS CI job uses the Intel runner with the same checks. Local tests also cover Apple silicon.

Validation:

  • Race tests and vet on Go 1.26.10 and 1.27.3.
  • Existing command, output-format and HTTP-error checks over local HTTPS, plus Arabic requests.
  • Both bulk commands returned 50,000 ordered records and over 203 MB of output under the default limits.
  • Timeout cancellation, redirects, response-size boundaries, gzip responses, invalid settings and limit overrides.
  • All five release binaries built and scanned with no known vulnerabilities reported; archive contents, checksums and README filenames checked.

HTTP failure and large-response tests use local fixtures. Requests needing more than the default time or response size must use the corresponding override.
