Text, image-caption, and other supported encoder transfers can now proceed non-blockingly when CPU offloading is enabled.
Pinned CPU weights are retained and restored after inference, with device synchronization before restoration to preserve offloading behavior. This applies to supported text and vision-language encoders, including quantized models.
Retain pinned CPU parameter sources for non-quantized CUDA T2I when CPU offload and shared DiT weights are enabled. Preserve CPU parameter aliases and runtime buffers, and restore weights after failed uploads or inference.
Includes the reusable module adapter and Qwen-specific tests. Validated with 21 CPU tests and real A100 encoder calls matching the original outputs.
Reuse retained pinned CPU sources for CUDA T2I encoding and prompt rewriting. Enable pinning with CPU offload, preserve the explicit CPU rewrite path, and restore sources on failures.
Includes LongCat-specific tests. Validated with 40 combined CPU tests and real A100 encoding and short rewrite outputs matching the original implementation.

Six text encoder implementations now cache pinned CPU weights under CPU-offload conditions. They use nonblocking transfers when cached tensors exist and restore saved parameters or buffers after computation, synchronizing the device before restoration where specified.

When cached tensors exist, transfers to AI_DEVICE request nonblocking behavior. The encoders synchronize where specified, restore cached parameter or buffer data, and move models back to CPU.
Model loading can exhaust host memory, and LongCat prompt rewriting fails on MPS. These issues should be addressed before merging.

Use ModuleWeightOffload.on_device scopes for resident, ordinary CPU offload, and retained pinned CPU weights. Share host allocation through the existing create_pin_tensor entry point while keeping operator registration out of the module adapter.
Replace Qwen and LongCat wrapper methods with explicit scopes, preserving pin enablement, parameter aliases, current buffers, and device-map handling. Centralize device-aware cleanup and reject nested or concurrent scopes.
Validation: 38 temporary CPU checks, Ruff, and real A100 encoding for both models plus a short LongCat rewrite. Outputs match the original implementation exactly. No repository test files are added.
Restore the common offload and operator utilities to main and remove the additional host allocator module. Keep only model-local pinned CPU parameter copies, existing device transfers, and restoration of those copies before the original CPU transfer handles buffers.
The cumulative diff against main now touches only the two text encoders: 38 added lines and 3 removed lines. Existing activation conditions and inference flow are preserved.
Validation: 21 temporary CPU checks, Ruff, and real A100 encoding for Qwen and LongCat plus a short LongCat rewrite. Outputs match the original main implementation exactly. No repository test files are added.
Enable retained CPU pin weights for the effective non-quantized text-encoder offload setting, without CUDA, T2I, Layered, or shared-DiT restrictions. Keep device-map handling and the original caption-to-infer residency sequence.
Validated with temporary platform-interface checks and real Qwen2.5-VL Edit and Layered calls on A100, matching the original main outputs and restoring pinned CPU sources.
Enable pin weights with CPU offload regardless of accelerator or task. Restore the retained parameter sources before the existing image-encoder CPU transfer, and synchronize the selected backend for prompt rewriting.
Validated with temporary CUDA/MLU/NPU/XPU interface checks and real A100 positive and negative image-text encoding calls matching the original main outputs. No repository test files are added.

Release pinned host memory when the encoder is unloaded.
With CUDA and lazy_load or unload_modules, the LongCat and Qwen runners delete the encoder before loading later models. PyTorch retains its freed pinned allocations, and torch.cuda.empty_cache() does not release them. The encoder’s pinned weights can therefore exhaust host RAM during the next load. (raw.githubusercontent.com)
Skip pinning for these unload workflows, or release the host cache with a mechanism supported by the installed PyTorch version.

Call MPS synchronization without a device argument.
With MPS, CPU offload, and prompt rewriting enabled, this calls torch.mps.synchronize(device). PyTorch’s MPS method accepts no arguments, so rewriting fails before the weights are restored. The runner reaches this path when enable_prompt_rewrite is enabled. (raw.githubusercontent.com)
Call torch.mps.synchronize() without an argument for MPS.

Release the host pinned-memory cache when unloading Flux2 text encoders.
When create_pin_tensor succeeds, both Flux2 encoders retain pinned parameters in cpu_weights. The runner deletes the encoder, but torch_device_module.empty_cache() and torch.cuda.empty_cache() do not release PyTorch’s host pinned-memory cache. The next run_dit call loads transformer weights into CPU memory. Repeated lazy-load or unload-modules requests can therefore exhaust available RAM.
Add one shared Flux2 unload helper and call it from both t2i and i2i deletion paths. Use a host-cache cleanup API compatible with the supported torch>=2.1 range, or disable pinning on versions without that API.
