Add CPS, Flow-GRPO and Geo-FSRL with Qwen-Image and Wan adapters.
Integrate a pinned verl-omni submodule through generic runtime patches.
Include reward services, portable resource tools, OpenGPT data preparation,
training launchers and a general environment guide.
Keep local tests, model weights, datasets, environments and outputs untracked;
remove test-only packaging and documentation references.
Recover per-sample reward details from streaming validation output and keep task-specific dimensions aligned without treating missing values as zero. Preserve the existing combined reward and compact W&B metric mapping.
Add the generic verl-omni validation patch and allow safe upgrades over previously prepared runtime patches while protecting unrelated edits. Document the eval reward fields.
Normalize each reward component within rollout groups before applying its weight, with configurable max-group, group, or global standard deviation. Preserve scalar reward logging and validation scores, and retain the original estimator when disabled.
Wire Qwen and video reward recipes through a generic verl-omni advantage hook and document the configuration.
Remove the RL package license, vendored reward license files and THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md. Clean up package-data entries and references to the removed files.
The PR replaces direct LoRA difference extraction with configured SVD extraction, adds student checkpoint export and alpha-aware merging, and introduces calibration trace collection and staged Qwen-Image 2.1 LoRA reconstruction.
The extractor now loads JSON or YAML configuration, normalizes supported model keys, selects configured Linear weights, and writes SVD-based LoRA factors. The guides and Wan/Qwen configurations describe the updated options. Three older converter scripts are removed.
The merger reads saved adapter alpha, validates factor dimensions, and supports fused Qwen image MLP weights and diffusion_model. or transformer. prefixes. The guides document the scaling behavior.
Student checkpoint export
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Checkpoint loading and validation tools/extract/export_student.py
The exporter indexes PyTorch, safetensors, DCP, and RL FSDP checkpoints. It normalizes keys and validates shard metadata and supported tensor layouts.
Validated model export tools/extract/export_student.py, docs/EN/source/deploy_guides/lora_deploy.md, docs/ZH_CN/source/deploy_guides/lora_deploy.md
The exporter validates model schemas, optionally fills missing weights from a base model, and writes sharded safetensors with an index, config, and manifest. The guides describe supported inputs and options.

Summary
Reconstruction configuration and entry point tools/extract/reconstruction/config.py, tools/extract/lora_reconstructor.py, tools/extract/configs/qwen_image_21*.json, tools/extract/reconstruction/RECONSTRUCTION*
The config validates reconstruction settings, and the CLI exposes collection and reconstruction modes. The supplied configurations and guides describe the algorithms, calibration settings, and execution options.
Validation preview and trace capture tools/extract/run_validation_preview.py, tools/extract/validation_trace.py
The preview runner builds and executes validation requests. Optional trace capture records conditioning data, scheduler values, and denoising-step tensors, then validates and saves completed traces.
Calibration collection samples requests, runs preview workers, coordinates results, and marks the selection complete after verifying its trace files. Calibration loading checks the inventory and selected files.
The backend builds model units and converts traces into calibration records. The engine optimizes temporal and sequential model stages, evaluates MSE, and saves the resulting adapter and metrics.

Explanation
The title "update lora extractor" is partially related to the changeset. The PR does rework tools/extract/lora_extractor.py into a config-driven pipeline, which is a real part of the change. However, the bulk of the work is new Qwen-Image 2.1 reconstruction tooling, new Wan/Qwen configs, a student-checkpoint exporter, and removal of the ViGen and Lightning converter scripts. The title does not mention these, and 'update' is broad. The title is specific enough to be a real aspect of the change, so it does not fail, and it is not so vague as to be inconclusive.

Restrict unsafe torch.load to RL rank files and document the trust requirement.
When distributed=True, weights_only is False. The call then unpickles arbitrary objects. A malicious RL model_world_size_*_rank_*.pt file can run code during export_student. The static analysis hint flags this call. The cause is the DTensor pickles in RL rank files, so weights_only=False is expected for them. The risk remains for any untrusted checkpoint.
Use these mitigations:
Try weights_only=True first for RL files. Newer PyTorch versions can allowlist DTensor types.
Fall back to weights_only=False only after an explicit opt-in, such as a --trust-checkpoint flag.
State in lora_deploy.md that RL checkpoints must come from a trusted source.

Reload the staged shards and verify them before staging.rename(output).
The export writes shards and the index, then publishes the directory. It never reads the written files back. A truncated or empty shard, or an index that disagrees with the shard contents, passes silently. The next consumer (for example ModelWeights(config.target_model) in the reconstruction engine) then fails later, or loads wrong weights.
Check the staged output first. Compare the index weight_map with the keys in each shard. Compare shard tensor shapes with the expected shapes. Failure inside the try block removes the staging directory, so a bad export leaves no output.

When compute_dtype="fp32", worker_environment() passes DTYPE=FP32 to the preview subprocess. run_validation_preview.py keeps that value with setdefault(). GET_DTYPE() rejects it, so the QwenImage21 pipeline can raise AssertionError during initialization. The preview path has no later override that accepts FP32.
The same precision mix-up affects trace_records(): it casts recorded timesteps to compute_dtype, while native inference casts them to the collection dtype before /1000. With FP32 reconstruction and BF16 collection, the replay timestep can differ from the native timestep. Use the recorded collection dtype, or BF16 for this collector, instead of compute_dtype.

Validate selection provenance before reusing traces.
calibration_files() only compares selection["counts"] with the current configuration. It can reuse a completed inventory after calibration_manifest, target_model, seed, or calibration_inference_config changes, although _collection_plan() records those values. Reconstruction can then consume traces from a different request or model set. Validate the stored provenance and format_version, or require recollection.

Keep native collection at a supported dtype.
When config.compute_dtype is fp32, this sets DTYPE=FP32 for the preview subprocess. run_validation_preview.py preserves that value with setdefault(). The native Qwen-Image runner rejects this dtype during initialization, so collection fails before it writes traces. Set the collection dtype independently from reconstruction arithmetic.

Normalize Diffusers Wan keys during merger lookup.
For a Diffusers Wan checkpoint, extraction converts names such as blocks.*.attn1.to_q to native blocks.*.self_attn.q names. The merger only checks the emitted name, its prefix-stripped form, and .weight variants. It does not apply the reverse lookup to the original Diffusers key. The merger therefore skips the adapter and saves the unchanged base weight.
Reuse the Wan normalization in _find_source_key, while retaining the original source key for the update:
