## Creating a new project
There are two common ways to set up a Paper plugin project:

- [Manual project setup](#manual-project-setup) using Gradle
- [Using the Minecraft Development IntelliJ plugin](#using-the-minecraft-development-intellij-plugin) to generate a project template

## Manual project setup

Open your IDE and select the option to create a new project.
In IntelliJ, you will get the option to select the type of project you want to create - select `New Project`.
