Expand path-chain lookup results through same-type recursive relations.
Return inherited descendants when permission is granted at an ancestor scope.
Add a regression test for recursive entity lookup through a role assignment.
Problem
lookup-entity publishes entities resolved by a permission path chain, but does
not use those entities as seeds for same-type recursive relation expansion.
As a result, a subject with permission at a parent scope can receive only part
of the entity hierarchy, even though individual permission checks allow access
to the descendants.
Fix
After resolving a path chain, use its source entities as seeds for the existing
recursive relation expansion.
The expansion is limited to permissions with a same-type recursive relation, so
non-recursive lookup paths are unaffected.
Testing
The regression test fails against the unmodified master branch:
got entities [1 2]; want [1 2 3 4]
It passes with this change:
go test ./internal/engines \
-run TestLookupEntityExpandsRecursivePathChainCandidates \
-count=1
The fix was also verified against the reported hierarchy: lookup returned all
18 permitted entities instead of only 12.
Recursive lookups now include matching entities reached through chains of same-type relationships, helping ensure results include all eligible entities. Errors encountered while expanding these relationships are also surfaced rather than silently ignored.
pathChainEntrance now expands resolved results through same-type self-cycle relations. A new test checks that LookupEntity returns all four entities in a recursive retailer-group hierarchy.
When the source type matches the requested entrance type, pathChainEntrance expands self-cycle relations from resolved IDs and returns any expansion error.
A new test defines a recursive retailer-group hierarchy, sets up grants and parent relationships, then checks that lookup returns entity IDs 1, 2, 3, and 4.
The change returns inherited descendants for recursive lookups. When results span several pages, paginated lookups can return the same page and token repeatedly, so clients cannot advance. Apply the cursor to the path-chain seeds and add a two-page test before merging.

Full details: Title check
Explanation
The title names the main change: recursive path-chain lookup results are now expanded. The raw summary confirms that pathChainEntrance in internal/engines/entity_filter.go expands same-type recursive relations from resolved path-chain entity IDs, and a regression test is added for that behavior. The objectives state the same goal of returning inherited descendants that were previously missing from LookupEntity results. The title is specific, short, and free of noise, so it passes.
Full details: Linked Issues check
Explanation
Issue #3249 requires LookupEntity to return all permitted descendants for a recursive self-referencing hierarchy when access passes through an RBAC assignment and a boolean-backed role permission. pathChainEntrance now uses resolved source entities as seeds for same-type recursive relation expansion. The added TestLookupEntityExpandsRecursivePathChainCandidates covers the role attribute, assignment chain, recursive parent relation, and expects entity IDs 1, 2, 3, and 4. The reported change matches the issue requirement. Issue #3248 is only contextual and does not add requirements.
Full details: Out of Scope Changes check
Explanation
The pull request changes internal/engines/entity_filter.go to expand recursive path-chain candidates and adds a focused regression test in internal/engines/lookup_recursive_path_chain_test.go. These changes directly support Issue #3249. No unrelated implementation or test changes are shown.

Docstring coverage is 0.00% which is insufficient. The required threshold is 80.00%. Docstring coverage is scoped to functions touched by this diff with cyclomatic complexity of at least 2. Documentation-only edits and deletions within surviving functions are included; unchanged diff context and fully deleted functions are excluded. Analyzed 1 functions across 2 files.

Filter path-chain seeds by the continuation cursor.
The existing path-chain publication loop can republish a seed below the cursor. The new recursive expansion makes this block pagination when the seed and a descendant are both candidates. Keep all currentIds as expansion seeds, but skip older seeds when publishing them. Add a two-page regression test.

Review comment at @internal/engines/entity_filter.go around lines 763 - 768:
In the path-chain flow, keep all currentIds available as recursive expansion
seeds, but filter the publication loop so it skips seeds older than the decoded
continuation cursor before calling AddPublished or publisher.Publish; add a
two-page regression test covering a seed and descendant that are both
candidates.
