Why
Supply chain fails on
linuxagain. RustSec published zip's three advisories as RUSTSEC-2026-0367, 0368 and 0369, socargo denynow reports zip 8.6.0 as vulnerable, not only yanked. Lock file still carries it through rust_xlsxwriter 0.99.1 until a release takes zip 9 (jmcnamara/rust_xlsxwriter#205; itsmainalready does).Change
deny.tomlignores the three advisories, each with the reason: they are inZipArchive::extractandZipStreamReader::extract. rust_xlsxwriter only writes archives, and core's export test reads entries by name. They go with the existingzip@8.6.0entry.Verified
cargo deny --locked check advisories bans licenses sources0.20.2 passes with a fresh advisory database. rust_xlsxwriter 0.99.1's source never usesZipArchiveorZipStreamReader.
