I'll focus on feedback directed at me and will do my best to stay out of conversations between you and other bots or reviewers to keep the noise down. I'll push a commit with your requested changes shortly after. Please note there might be a delay between these steps, but rest assured I'm on the job! 🎯 What: Refactored the excessively long
cmd_installfunction inpython-installer/techscript/__main__.pyinto small, focused helper functions (_detect_and_verify_platform,_handle_existing_install,_download_package,_install_and_configure, and_verify_and_print_result).💡 Why: Breaking down long functions improves readability, maintainability, and testability while keeping existing behavior unchanged.
✅ Verification: Added comprehensive unit tests in
python-installer/tests/test_main.pycoveringcmd_installand helpers, verified withpython3 -m unittest, and verified workspace tests withcargo test --workspace --all-targets.✨ Result: Reduced
cmd_installfrom 100+ lines to a concise orchestration function of ~15 lines, making the installation pipeline modular and easier to maintain.PR created automatically by Jules for task 14294217717780634568 started by @Tcode-Motion
