🎯 What: Refactored the excessively long
cmd_installfunction inpython-installer/techscript/__main__.pyby extracting platform detection, existing install checks, release binary downloading, and result reporting into modular helper functions (_detect_and_validate_platform,_handle_existing_install,_download_release_binary, and_print_install_result).💡 Why: Reduces function complexity, improves code readability, and makes individual installation steps independently testable.
✅ Verification: Verified through python unit tests in
python-installer/tests/test_installer.py(python3 -m unittest discover -s python-installer/tests) and the full workspace test suite (cargo test --workspace --all-targets).✨ Result:
cmd_installis now concise, readable, and well-structured without changing runtime behavior.PR created automatically by Jules for task 15972880421157306117 started by @Tcode-Motion
