Why

REPOS.md is the snapshot of what the WLAN-Pi repos do today. It still listed retired packages, older changelog versions, and a Dependabot error name the job logs do not use. The release process also described promotion as a Packagecloud step any repo might automate.

What changed

• Retired wlanpi-bridge, wlanpi-server, and wlanpi-wconsole, and added pi-gen, gh-workflows, .github, sbuild-debian-package, and scandump.
• Changelog versions, the piwheels Dependabot failure, release tags, and promotion now match the default branches.
• RELEASE_PROCESS.md says the maintainer promotes from wlanpi/dev to wlanpi/main by hand after testing, and that only wlanpi-desktop has promote-to-main.yml.
• The CI note now names both repos that use python-style-police.yml.
• wlanpi-bridge, wlanpi-server, and wlanpi-wconsole are archived.

Scope

• Covers the snapshot and the promotion wording in the release process.
• Leaves the target rules in place, including tagging vX.Y.Z on main.
• Leaves wlanpi-app as written. The API returned 404 for that repo, so this change does not touch that row.
• Does not add the other org repos that were already outside the snapshot (neo2, experimental, drivers, feedback, armbian-build, rpi-linux).

Blast Radius

Documentation only. Someone using the snapshot to choose a fix will follow the current default branches.

Verification

• Each changed version, archive flag, workflow uses line, and Dependabot log was read from the GitHub API before it was written.
• Immediately before the first commit, the deploy workflows that call tag-release.yml were wlanpi-bluetooth, wlanpi-core, wlanpi-librespeed-cli, and wlanpi-mcp. The three dependabot.yml files declared https://www.piwheels.org/simple. wlanpi-bluetooth had no tags. wlanpi-librespeed-cli newest tag was v1.0.14.
• The python-style-police.yml sentence was checked again after that commit by listing .github/workflows on the Python repos.
• The GitHub API archived field was true for wlanpi-bridge, wlanpi-server, and wlanpi-wconsole when the Retired sentence was corrected.

Evidence

Retired packages. wlanpi-common#111 records that wlanpi-bridge, wlanpi-server, and wlanpi-wconsole are off Packagecloud for trixie on wlanpi/dev and wlanpi/main, and that trixie64 images do not install them. pi-gen#108 records the same removal for wlanpi-server. wlanpi-bridge, wlanpi-server, and wlanpi-wconsole are archived.

Repos added. pi-gen default branch trixie64, fork of RPi-Distro/pi-gen. gh-workflows. sbuild-debian-package fork of danielmundi/sbuild-debian-package. .github. scandump fork of intuitibits/scandump, changelog 2.2.1, debian/compat is 12, and debian/control build-depends on debhelper (>=9).

Versions that moved. wlanpi-core 2.4.11-1. wlanpi-desktop 1.0.6. The other listed changelog versions were re-read and left as they were: ctx 1.0.2-2, fpms 1.4.25-1, hwtest 1.2.0-1, mcp 0.7.0-1, profiler 2.1.8-1, webui 1.21.18-1, librespeed-cli 1.0.14-1wlanpi1, misc-firmware 1.0.20, shell-config 1.1.5, usb-ethernet 1.5.4, persistent-identity 1.1.0-1.

Dependabot. The updater records private_source_authentication_failure for https://www.piwheels.org/simple/, and the proxy log says egress not allowlisted www.piwheels.org (HTTP 403). Runs: wlanpi-core, wlanpi-fpms, wlanpi-ctx. Extra index: core requirements.txt, fpms requirements.txt, ctx requirements.txt. The default branches now declare the registry: wlanpi-core#430, wlanpi-fpms#211, wlanpi-ctx#9.

Tags. Shared workflow: tag-release.yml. Callers on the default branch: wlanpi-core deploy, wlanpi-mcp deploy, wlanpi-bluetooth#25, wlanpi-librespeed-cli#13. Newest tags behind the changelog: profiler v1.0.18 against 2.1.8-1, hwtest v1.0.12 against 1.2.0-1, shell-config v1.1.2 against 1.1.5. wlanpi-bluetooth has no tags. wlanpi-librespeed-cli tag v1.0.14 uses message Release 1.0.14-1wlanpi1.

Promotion. Shared deploy pushes to wlanpi/dev: sbuild-deploy-pkg.yml. The only promote workflow is wlanpi-desktop promote-to-main.yml, and it runs on workflow_dispatch.

Python lint workflows. wlanpi-ctx python-style-police.yml and wlanpi-profiler python-style-police.yml. The split pair is on wlanpi-core, wlanpi-fpms, wlanpi-mcp, and wlanpi-webui.
