Currently relying on the MeshCore firmware to predict acknowledgement wait times. The firmware seems to overshoot.
In field tests, the max 2 hop wait time seemed to be around 7.5 seconds. with 99% of expected acks arriving before the 7 second mark. The average wait time for a missed hop was ~10 seconds. In the field scenario, a 3 second wait could have been saved on almost every miss.
