A design proposal, not built: how far ccs should go with sessions talking to each other (t3code-style delegation, handoff and queueing).

The recommendation, after codex's adversarial review:

  1. Now: let Claude Code's own claude --bg / claude agents do the delegating. ccs reads claude agents --json, marks background sessions, and opens them with claude attach in a new tab.
  2. On demand: a handoff MCP tool for live sessions. It needs its own envelope, never ccs's "typed by the user" wrapper. Off by default, project-scoped and size-bounded.
  3. Only with evidence: a ccs daemon for queued delivery and work while the TUI is closed. The doc lists what it would need to be safe: delivery states, authority, cost limits, its own store, versioning.

The review's main findings, now in the doc: Claude Code already delegates natively; reusing the user wrapper would present model text as the user's; sessions.json can't hold concurrent writers; and receipts only arrive for messages that don't go straight in.

Compares letting Claude Code's native background sessions do delegation
while ccs observes them, a handoff MCP tool, a ccs daemon relay and the
TUI as relay. Revised after an adversarial review that found claude --bg
and claude agents already cover delegation.
