Description

problem

Error 431 Invalid IP address cannot parse.

I was trying to add a Share network on the advanced Zone as root admin.

No logs indicting other wise the error 431.

It is a /64 global IP.
I did try with Brackets, without brackets, completing with Zeros, Completing with Zeros without brackets.
Same error.

Additional questions if you are kind to respond:

  • Shared network is per Domain or it is per zone, I found both on the documentation.
  • To operate, Does Shared network used solely the Public IP VLAN ? and for Private IP, and I have to use NAT at the Gateway?

versions

Cloudstack 4.20.0.0
EVPN VXLAN with Advanced Zone

The steps to reproduce the bug

  1. Create a Network Offering with No VLAN,
  2. Attempting Adding the Shared network with IPV4 and IPv6
  3. Error 431
    ...

What to do about it?

Is there a work around, Or something I am not adding properly, or some special notation for the IPv6.

Additional questions if you are kind to respond:

  • Shared network is per Domain or it is per zone, I found both on the documentation.
  • To operate, Does Shared network used solely the Public IP VLAN ? and for Private IP, and I have to use NAT at the Gateway?

Thank you very much

the CIDR should be like 2002:aa:bb:cc::/64, not /64

IPv6 startip and endip can be empty I think

Shared network is per Domain or it is per zone, I found both on the documentation.

Each network is associated to a physical network in a zone.
you can dedicate it to a domain, or an account, or do not dedicate it which will be accessible for all accounts.

To operate, Does Shared network used solely the Public IP VLAN ? and for Private IP, and I have to use NAT at the Gateway?

you can create shared network with public IPs, or private IPs, depends on your need.
no NAT for shared network. only Isolated networks and VPCs support NAT.
