Keep byte ranges when replacing residual filters in REST-planned scan tasks. Bound polling backoff by the remaining timeout and check the budget before issuing another poll. Apply the response-side timeout check only while the plan is still submitted. Preserve completed tasks and server failures, and release cleanup for cancelled plans, even when the in-flight poll crosses the waiting budget. Cover normal and incremental scans across direct, polled, and paginated task responses, including split residual replacement and all polling statuses after the timeout.

Keep byte ranges when replacing residual filters in REST-planned scan tasks. Bound polling backoff by the remaining timeout and check the waiting budget before issuing another poll. Apply the response-side timeout check only while the plan is still submitted: preserve completed tasks, server failures, and cancellation handling even when an in-flight poll crosses the waiting budget.
Cover normal and incremental scans across direct, polled, and paginated task responses, including missing and ignored residual filters and terminal responses received after the waiting budget.
