Define the sampling support boundary for the documented releases: explicit upstream decisions take precedence; otherwise use deterministic trace-ID policies with stable configuration. Exclude nondeterministic policies, explain provider ownership, and distinguish sampling from export completeness.
Part of #295. Its proposed direct/ParentBased sampler semantics are still unimplemented in these releases, so the issue remains open. Preserve
supported-sampling-modesfor the coordinated README updates: aws/aws-durable-execution-sdk-js#1132, aws/aws-durable-execution-sdk-java#852, and aws/aws-durable-execution-sdk-python#885. Land those links after this PR reachesmain.Stack: main → #302 → #306 → #304. This PR targets #306 and contains only sampling changes. Merge in order, retargeting/restacking each child onto
mainafter its parent merges.Validation: Zensical 0.0.40 clean build, repository-wide Markdown/spelling/hidden-character checks, all 687 example references, rendered local links/fragments (including both shared anchors), and
git diff --checkpassed. No runtime or backend qualification was performed.
