Docs/java ai agent observability - #2941
StefanHenke wants to merge 8 commits into
Conversation
- java/ai.md: new 'Tracing Agents' section describing the invoke_agent / chat / execute_tool span hierarchy (incl. the inbound A2A span), the gen_ai.* span attributes, and how to enable them. - java/operating-applications/observability.md: add the Agent, ChatModel, ToolExecution and McpServer span loggers to the CAP Instrumentation table.
Reword the intro, fold the span-enabling note under the hierarchy diagram, and keep the sensitive-data note at the end.
The spans are standard OpenTelemetry spans created via GlobalOpenTelemetry; they don't require the OTel Java Agent specifically. Point to CAP Instrumentation for infrastructure setup instead.

There was a problem hiding this comment.
The build error stems from here.
The two * characters inside * tags were being paired by markdown-it as emphasis delimiters (content → <em>). This created invalid HTML nesting — <em> opened inside the first and closed inside the second , with appearing in between. Vue's template compiler choked on this as "Element is missing end tag.
Solution: Use 1 instead of *
