Sets up Cosmocon 2027 (20.–21.2.2027, SeAMK Frami F).

  • Labour V1: volunteer signup open 26.10.2026 until the event starts; job categories from the Cosmocon volunteer application form, work days, special diets and an age-limit notice (K15, järjestyksenvalvonta K18). Conitea signs up through a separate non-public form.
  • Intra V1: 11 conitea teams.
  • Program V2 and Badges: both use the Cosmocon ry volunteer registry.
  • Surveys V2: event meta and admin group only; surveys will be created in the UI.
  • Tickets V2: event meta only (Paytrail, terms at https://cosmocon.fi/info/toimitusehdot/). No products, so ticket sales are not open yet.
  • setup_cosmocon_ry: creates or updates the volunteers registry (2-year retention, privacy policy https://cosmocon.fi/tietosuoja). setup_cosmocon2027 requires it and fails fast if it is missing; manage.py setup runs organization setups before event setups.

Verification

  • prek passes on the changed files.
  • makemigrations --check is clean for cosmocon2027 and cosmocon_ry.
  • On a fresh database, setup_cosmocon_ry and setup_cosmocon2027 were each run twice; both runs succeeded and created the expected objects.
  • Event setup without the org setup fails with Registry.DoesNotExist, as intended.
  • Full backend suite: 271 passed, 2 deselected, 1 xfailed. The tests were run before the volunteer signup dates were changed, and that change was not re-tested.

Labour V1 (volunteer signup with job categories, work days and a separate
conitea form), Intra V1 teams, Program V2, Badges, Surveys V2 and Tickets V2
meta (no products; ticket sales not opened yet).

Adds the Cosmocon ry volunteer registry to setup_cosmocon_ry; its privacy
policy URL is still to be filled in once published.

📝 Walkthrough

This change adds Cosmocon 2027 signup models and forms, an initial migration, and a management command that creates event and subsystem configuration. It also adds an organization-scoped volunteer registry setup and registers the Cosmocon 2027 app.

Run the organization setup before the event setup, or make the event command fail when the volunteer registry is missing. Otherwise volunteer data may lack the intended retention period.

Explanation

The title "feat(cosmocon2027): set up event" matches the main change. The PR adds the cosmocon2027 event package, including its setup management command, forms, models, migration, and settings entry, and the PR objectives state the goal is to set up Cosmocon 2027 for 20.–21.2.2027. The title is short, specific, and uses a conventional commit prefix. It does not cover the details such as Labour V1, Intra teams, or the cosmocon_ry volunteers registry, which is acceptable for a title.

- Around line 296-303: Move the volunteers Registry.objects.get lookup in
setup_program_v2 before InvolvementEventMeta.ensure so the command fails if the
registry is missing rather than creating it with incomplete defaults. Document
that setup_cosmocon_ry must run first.

Comment thread kompassi/events/cosmocon2027/management/commands/setup_cosmocon2027.py Outdated
… org setup

setup_cosmocon_ry now uses update_or_create for the volunteers registry so its
titles, retention period and privacy policy URL also reach an existing row.

setup_cosmocon2027 looks up the registry before InvolvementEventMeta.ensure,
which would otherwise create it with incomplete defaults when the org setup
has not run.
