Summary

Lands #427 (@dilpreetkaur-bluesky, 2026-08-27, two commits, cherry-picked with authorship) plus a one-line Biome format follow-up, so the MCP install defect in #416 gets one review instead of two competing PRs.

Repo-ingested MCP plugins install under the generic name server and the detail page shows a config object users cannot paste into ~/.cursor/mcp.json:

  1. Persist MCP server name in component metadata: parse.ts keeps the server name on the ingested MCP component, which is what the detail page needs to install under the right key.
  2. Fix MCP install name fallback and show paste-ready config: mcp-section.tsx installs under the submitted component name (falls back to the config key only when the name is empty) and renders the config as the mcpServers entry a user can paste as is.
  3. style: biome format for the MCP install note (mine): wraps a long paragraph the way biome ci wants; no content change.

#417 (@StefELianos, 2026-07-09) fixes the same name fallback in mcp-section.tsx only; #427 covers that hunk and adds the metadata and the paste-ready config, so #427 is carried here and #417 is noted as the earlier report-and-fix. If the maintainers prefer #427 or #417 as they are, close this one.

Verification

  • bun install --frozen-lockfile; in apps/cursor: bunx biome ci . 196 files, no fixes, 5 pre-existing warnings (same as main); bunx tsc --noEmit clean.

Fixes #416. Supersedes #427 and #417 if merged.
