Inspect durable Nexus service-call outcomes and attempts #57

Closed

Description

@rmcdaniel

Workflow durable-workflow/workflow#753 requires the actual service-call result, failure, attempts and original target to be inspectable through the CLI. The published CLI can inspect workflow histories, but it has no service-call detail command.

Add a read-only service-call:describe <endpoint> <service> <operation> <call-id> command using the existing authenticated, namespace-scoped Server route. Preserve its exact JSON response, including typed outcomes, external references, attempt records and caller/target identity. Provide a useful terminal summary, document the command and publish its JSON schema.

Acceptance: focused request/response and refusal controls, normal CLI checks, a qualified compatible release, then actual published CLI inspection of the same original Nexus calls used by the PHP/Python/Waterline consumer. No new Server route, SDK behavior or native contract is required.

    CLI2.3.0 is published at exact1762a784 / treee9e868c4 after all source checks across PHP8.2–8.5 and all four native builders pass. The new schema URL is live and matchesb9058cb4. The source tree exactly matches reviewed#58.

    Original publication39095673458 remains failed: all ten public asset checks and explicit-version installation pass, then the release-channel metadata fetch receives HTTP403. No broader cause is established. The existing protected reconciliation39096435427 passes without rebuilding or replacing assets; all ten asset IDs, sizes and digests are identical afterward. Independent anonymous public readback also passes exact/default installation, canonical2.3.0/1762 identity, loading service-call:describe, channel discovery and both dry-run/apply upgrade no-ops. Its temporary binaries and configuration are deleted.

    The actual direct Nexus call-detail consumer is prepared in Waterline#204 and will run against the final stable Server cohort after#486 publication. #57 remains open until that installed call/result/attempt/target inspection passes.

    Delivered CLI2.3.0 at1762a784 / wholee9e868c4 through #58. Exact published installation loads the new documented command and the live JSON schema; all applicable PHP8.2–8.5, native-build, reproducibility, policy and Sonar checks pass.

    Final all-stable consumer 39097610133 PASSES: actual published Server2.9.0/Workflow2.6.0, PHP SDK2.5.0, Python2.6.0, Waterline2.11.2 and CLI2.3.0. All24 original call descriptions match the actual API, including caller/target, original deadline, attempts, Avro result or typed failure. All24 workflow histories and24 wrong-run+24 wrong-call refusals pass; histories remain unchanged. Cleanup passes.

    Original release39095673458 retains its metadata-HTTP403 failure. Separate unchanged-asset reconciliation and anonymous exact/default installation pass as previously recorded. This result neither relabels that failure nor creates native or full-platform acceptance. Website250 adds the companion reference-page guidance.
