Cloud & Software Engineer | AWS | Terraform | Python | C++ | Linux
I'm an engineer transitioning deeper into software, cloud, and systems engineering, with a background spanning web development, IT instruction, engineering, and cloud infrastructure.
I enjoy building systems end-to-end - from application code and APIs to infrastructure, automation, deployment, and troubleshooting. My current focus is developing practical cloud engineering skills while strengthening my foundations in programming, Linux, operating systems, and systems development.
My background in municipal infrastructure systems informs how I approach cloud engineering: designing for reliability, operational consistency, and scalable system delivery.
- Building AWS cloud-native applications using services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudFront, and Amazon Bedrock
- Designing reusable infrastructure with Terraform
- Automating builds and deployments with GitHub Actions and CI/CD
- Developing with Python and JavaScript/React
- Strengthening C++, Data Structures and Linux skills for systems-oriented development
- Exploring cloud architectures that incorporate generative AI and semantic search
- Long term, exploring the intersection of cloud, embedded systems, and IoT

A cloud-native application designed to analyze water quality reports, it takes water quality tests results from a user, and provide AI-assisted analysis and safety recommendations based on EPA and WHO water quality standards.
Technologies: React, Python, AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Amazon Bedrock, Terraform, DynamoDB
The project explores how cloud services, operational regulations, generative AI, and software engineering workflows can be combined into a practical tool for public safety.
Reusable AWS infrastructure for deploying a static web application using Infrastructure as Code and automated CI/CD.
Technologies: Terraform, AWS, S3, CloudFront, IAM, GitHub Actions, OIDC
The project uses GitHub Actions with AWS OIDC authentication to deploy infrastructure and application changes without relying on long-lived AWS credentials.
A responsive React-based portfolio demonstrating frontend development and automated cloud deployment.
Technologies: React, Vite, Tailwind CSS, AWS S3, GitHub Pages, GitHub Actions
The application is deployed through automated CI/CD workflows targeting both GitHub Pages and AWS.
My engineering background began with a B.Eng. in Chemical Engineering, where I developed experience working with complex real-world systems, technical analysis, troubleshooting, and regulated operational environments.
I later built several years of practical experience in web development, working with WordPress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, hosting environments, DNS, SSL, and production websites. I also taught ICT and web development, including HTML, CSS, and introductory Python scripting.
I'm now focused on developing deeper expertise in cloud and software engineering, while building the computer science and systems foundations that will support my longer-term interest in embedded and IoT systems.
