Hello. There are a few issues with TCnet out:

1. If the timecode is sourced from ‘Audio playback’, the track’s metadata is not transmitted. In Resolume Arena, for example, only the engine name is displayed. It is likely that metadata from PDL is not sent either.

2. When selecting a network interface, I cannot choose localhost (127.0.0.1). Resolume Arena, on the other hand, allows you to select it.

Thanks for both, and for the screenshots — they made it precise. Both will be in the next update.

Audio playback: the metadata sent over TCNet was the engine name because the generator had nothing else to say. It will send the preset in use as the title — the name you gave that part of the show — with the artist taken from the loaded file when there is one (its tag, or the "Artist - " half of a file named "Artist - Title"); with no preset selected, the file's own name. MP3 and FLAC carry tags STC's decoders don't read, so from those only the file name is available.

Pro DJ Link: STC sends the deck's artist and title as soon as it has them, and Resolume shows them — that path works. If you ever see the engine name in Resolume for a track whose name STC itself displays, tell me which player and firmware, because that would be a different problem.

Localhost: every interface selector for the network protocols that may talk to software on the same PC — TCNet, Art-Net, LA-Net, OSC — will offer "Localhost (127.0.0.1)". Pro DJ Link and StageLinQ won't, since their gear is on the LAN. Saved selections will keep their meaning.
