dotfiles

Personal config files for macOS development with zsh, tmux, and vim/neovim.

Overview

This repository includes:

• .zshrc for shell configuration and plugin loading
• .tmux.conf for terminal multiplexer navigation and pane management
• .vimrc for Vim/Neovim keybindings, UI settings, and plugin mappings
• Git submodules for Zsh and Vim plugins

Setup

1. Clone this repository:

git clone https://github.com/<you>/dotfiles.git ~/dotfiles
cd ~/dotfiles

2. Initialize submodules:

git submodule update --init --recursive

3. Create symlinks for your home directory:

ln -sf ~/dotfiles/.zshrc ~/.zshrc
ln -sf ~/dotfiles/.tmux.conf ~/.tmux.conf
ln -sf ~/dotfiles/.vimrc ~/.vimrc

4. Install required tools if needed:

• zsh
• fzf
• neovim or vim
• zoxide (optional)
• chruby / Ruby (optional if you use Ruby switching)

5. Reload Zsh:

source ~/.zshrc

6. Open Neovim/Vim and make sure plugins are available. The plugin directories are managed as git submodules.
