Yes. It's an everyday (latest today) to set up debugging properly with launch.json etc. For Python it simply just works now.
Would be a huge time saver and also make it a lot more user friendly.
Can something be done to for this issue to can more attention? This functionality is so conventient when coding in Python.
Consider this as a joint effort with Red Hat
Reacted by mozhuanzuojingHi Jimisola Laursen (@jimisola) now we shipped the Debugger for Java 0.58.3 as stable release, which already support no config debug.

javaor will it also work if one starts with Maven/Gradle (most of us, including myself, probably do the latter)?
Your colleagues over at vscode-python-debugger have implemented no-config debugging microsoft/vscode-python-debugger#561
Would be very useful if it was implemented for Java as well.
