Forge versions newer than a certain build are missing from the launcher's version list (e.g., Forge 26.2) #7608

Description

@42ravop

Please confirm the following.

  • I checked the existing issues for duplicate problems
  • I have tried resolving the issue using the support portal
  • I have ensured my Modrinth App installation is up to date

What version of the Modrinth App are you using?

0.21.4

What operating systems are you seeing the problem on?

Windows

Describe the bug

The Modrinth App does not display the latest available Forge versions in the instance creation/loader selection menu. Specifically, Forge 26.2 is completely absent from the list of selectable Forge versions, even though it has been released on the official Forge website and is required by some mods available on Modrinth.

I have verified that the launcher retrieves its list of available Forge versions from the following endpoint:

https://launcher-meta.modrinth.com/forge/v0/manifest.json

In this manifest, Forge 26.2 is not present. I am unsure whether this is an intentional deprecation of newer Forge versions in the Modrinth App, or simply a bug where the manifest is not being updated. I could not find any official information regarding Modrinth discontinuing support for new Forge releases.
