Summary

  • Keep the Claude CLI /usage probe settings in one shared helper.
  • Preserve --settings {"remoteControlAtStartup":false} for every Windows CLI usage probe path.
  • Add deterministic coverage for the exact launch argument composition.

Upstream reference

Ports the Windows analogue of upstream commit e91635fc (Claude /usage settings parity). The existing Windows fetch path converges on the PTY probe; this change centralizes the override at that convergence point.

Validation

  • cargo fmt --all -- --check
  • cargo test --manifest-path rust/Cargo.toml usage_probe_settings_disable_remote_control_startup --lib --locked

The focused Rust test passed. No full build, dependency install, or generated artifact was run because the worktree is operating under a 50 GiB free-space floor.
