The repository is configured for native GitHub Pages, but its old reports caller publishes through the legacy branch workflow. Adopt the shared native reports workflow to regenerate documentation using released Fast Forward template 2.1, approved Dash assets and the reading theme control.

Existing library checks block report generation: 34 tests execute helper classes absent from their coverage metadata, and dependency analysis misidentifies a platform-dependent POSIX constant as an unknown class. Declare the helpers with UsesClass while preserving each test's CoversClass target. Read the guarded POSIX errno with constant(), retaining the same numeric fallback and process behavior.

The test caller supplies the ceiling needed by the checkout-free status publisher; test jobs keep read-only tokens. Remove unused secret inheritance. Publication runs only from main after successful reports and verifies the public identity assets against the installed template.

Validation: local dependency health passes; PHPUnit passes 80 tests / 192 assertions, zero risky tests or warnings, and 99.74% coverage (391/392 lines). The existing 80% threshold is unchanged. Scoped ECS and actionlint pass. GitHub checks validate PHP 8.3, 8.4 and 8.5 before merge.

📝 Summary

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Chores
    • Updated the automated reporting and testing workflows to run under revised permissions.
    • Reporting now runs for pushes to the main branch, pull requests, and manual requests.
    • Test status publishing is adjusted for automated dependency updates.

Walkthrough

The reports workflow adds pull request runs and calls a different reusable workflow. Both workflows change their permissions, and the tests workflow sets whether required statuses are published based on the triggering actor.

Changes

Workflow updates

Layer / File(s) Summary
Reports workflow triggers and delegation
.github/workflows/reports.yml
The workflow adds a pull request trigger and retains manual dispatch. It changes contents permission to read, calls reports-native.yml@main, and removes inherited secrets.
Tests workflow permissions and status input
.github/workflows/tests.yml
The workflow changes its permissions and passes publish-required-statuses as false for dependabot[bot] and true for other actors.

The reports and tests workflows now call shared workflows that track the upstream main branch. Those workflows can deploy Pages and write required test statuses. A later upstream change could alter deployment or required checks without review in this repository. Pin both references to reviewed commit SHAs before merging.
