``pypi.org`` is the default host for downloading packages.

Check for an old index URL in your pip configuration as well as in your upload
tool configuration. For example, an old :file:`pip.conf` (or :file:`pip.ini`
on Windows) might contain:

Remove that override to use pip's current default index, or update it to
``https://pypi.org/simple/``. Run ``python -m pip config debug`` to find
which pip configuration files are active and where an override comes from.
Keep intentional custom package-index or mirror settings unchanged.
