src/validators/_tld.txt was last refreshed in May 2024 (IANA version 2024052400). Since then, 13 TLDs have been retired from the root zone and 2 have been delegated, so consider_tld=True accepted names under retired TLDs and rejected names under new ones.

This replaces it with tlds-alpha-by-domain.txt version 2026102100. The file's MD5 is 275d627bb5615a6049fd0282962448a5, which matches IANA's published .md5. It is plain ASCII with one label per line, in the same layout as before.

  • Removed (retired): BENTLEY, DABUR, DUNLOP, GOO, JUNIPER, KERRYLOGISTICS, LANCASTER, LIPSY, NATURA, PRAMERICA, REDSTONE, SHAW, WOLTERSKLUWER. For example, the IANA root zone database lists .bentley, .goo and .juniper as retired.
  • Added: .merck (delegated 2026-04-17) and .web (delegated 2026-07-23).

No tests or docs used a retired TLD. I added somerandomexample.web (valid) and somerandomexample.goo (invalid) to the consider_tld tests; both fail with the old list. The full suite passes with and without PYVLD_CACHE_TLD=True, and the built wheel and sdist both still include _tld.txt.

_tld.txt was last refreshed from the IANA list in May 2024 (version
2024052400). Since then 13 TLDs have been retired from the root zone and
.merck and .web have been delegated, so consider_tld accepted names
under retired TLDs and rejected names under the new ones.

Replace it with https://data.iana.org/TLD/tlds-alpha-by-domain.txt,
version 2026102100 (md5 275d627bb5615a6049fd0282962448a5, matching the
published checksum).
