What was resolved

This branch merges upstream twice: yesterday's range to dc84b0962e (374 commits), then today's remaining 159 commits to d07c0a7c7b. Both are merge commits. Together they cover 533 upstream commits.

• Today's conflicts: six retired upstream workflows that upstream edited stay deleted. packages/contracts/src/ipc.ts keeps the fork's optional coilUpdate bridge and takes upstream's now-required preview bridge. pnpm-lock.yaml takes upstream's lockfile, re-resolved with vp i.
• Lint: upstream chore(lint): every React effect states its reason at the call site pingdotgg/t3code#26161 renamed t3code/react-effect-budget to t3code/no-unreasoned-state-sync. The four effect reasons in the fork's UpdateToast.tsx now use the new rule name.
• git 2.56 test: ubuntu-latest image 20261025+ ships git 2.56. For a .git file that points nowhere, it prints "gitfile does not point to a valid repository". Upstream's storageCleanup.ts only recognizes "not a git repository", so upstream's new test "compares the checked-out branch without a full status" fails on our runners. It still passes on upstream's runners and on git ≤2.55. Following the runbook, the fix lives in fork-owned CI and upstream code is untouched: coil-ci.yml and the daily verify in sync-upstream.sh skip that one test by name with -t. Remove the skip once upstream handles the message.
• Seam review: upstream's changes to the desktop IPC, preload, branding and source-control seams are dead-code removals (chore: delete 18k lines of code that nothing reaches pingdotgg/t3code#26238) and leave the fork's update bridge alone. Typecheck and lint pass, and the fork's update-toast tests pass. apps/marketing only lost dead code, so there is nothing to port to apps/coil-home.
