Are you trying to work with https://github.com/GeoffreyMetais/vlc-android/ ? Does the project even build from command line ?

Yes, the VLC file and the called file are in the same directory. I don't know why it points to the object. Do I need other configurations?

The issue I noticed is that the project hasn't been updated in 5 years. When I try to build it from commandline it seems I run into various errors. If it doesn't build from CLI it's pretty unlikely it'd build when vscode-java is opened on it.

When I do import it, I get the following error in VS Code :

It's going to be very difficult to properly reproduce this problem, since from my understanding jcenter has been decommissioned. The linked project seems to be trying to pull the java bindings for VLC from jcenter, amongst other things. The project will need significant changes to the build scripts to get it building again.

If you can replicate the issue, please feel free to open a new ticket.
