Summary

  • Adds upstream BIND release commit subjects to generated bind920 candidate PR bodies.
  • Derives ISC BIND release tags from BIND distversions, stripping FreeBSD port revisions like _2.
  • Keeps FreeBSD Ports commits in the PR for packaging/provenance context.
  • Falls back to an explicit note if upstream release tags cannot be resolved.

Validation

  • python3 .github/ci/ci-tests/test_bind920_candidate.py
  • python3 .github/ci/ci-tests/test_bind920_reuse.py
  • python3 .github/ci/ci-tests/test_release_channel_provenance.py
  • python3 -m py_compile .github/ci/*.py
  • git diff --check
  • Local upstream fetch/render smoke test for v9.20.26..v9.20.27
