Builds the Open Asset Import Library (libassimp, headers, CMake/pkg-config files and the assimp tool) into a cmeel prefix via the cmeel CMake build backend. Upstream publishes no riscv64 wheel.

Mirrors upstream's release.yml.

Differs from upstream

  • Single-arch, glibc-only matrix - macOS/x86_64/aarch64 legs dropped.
  • Extra index pypi.riseproject.dev - the riscv64 cmeel-zlib wheel lives there.

Matrix: one job - [tool.cmeel] has-sitelib = false, so the single py3-none-manylinux_riscv64 wheel covers every interpreter.

Testing

  • same as upstream (install deps, then the wheel).
  • also round-trips a small OBJ mesh to PLY with the wheel's own assimp tool.

License: Wheel ships libassimp (BSD-3-Clause) with its permissively licensed contribs compiled in, under upstream's declared BSD-3-Clause expression, as in upstream's own wheels.

Builds clean from the tag with no patches; verified locally on x86_64.
