• server: delayed AUTH responses of a connection are written with their send time to the bounded delayedQ of the client (the size of sndQ). One sendDelayed thread of the connection waits until each send time and passes the responses to sndQ. The thread that writes a delayed response waits while delayedQ is full, as it does for sndQ.
• server: no thread is forked per delayed response; delayed responses are sent in the order they were produced.
• tests: while delayed AUTH responses fill the queue, further commands of the client are not read (failed verification) or processed (command errors): a PING sent after them is answered after the delay.
