Current and expected behavior
Whilst upgrading to spark operator 2.6.7 we noticed that the length of the application name was reduced from 63 to 40.
It would have been nice if this was clearly listed in the release notes as a breaking change as most of our applications failed after the upgrade.
eventually we had to resort to very cryptic abbreviated names to resolve the issue.
