This depends on stackhpc/ansible-collection-openstack#94
Once that is merged, bumping the ansible-collection-openstack to the latest will be included.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Documentation
    • Updated the OpenStack demo project example with a sample group containing two users, their email addresses, and vaulted passwords.
    • The example also shows how to assign OpenStack user roles to the group.

Change: Feature

Merge Risk: Low · up to f1d5c

The demo cannot provide Claire and Dillan with group-based project access using the pinned collection. Update the dependency to a release containing group support before relying on this example.

Explanation

The title "Support assigning roles to groups for projects" matches the main change. The raw summary shows that examples/projects.yml now adds openstack_demo_groups, a demo_group with two users, and group-level openstack_user_roles. The PR objectives state the same goal: adding support for assigning roles to groups for projects. The title is specific and short, and it names the primary change.

Pin a collection release that includes group support before merging the groups example.

The pinned stackhpc.openstack 0.11.0 does not add group support. The groups key in examples/projects.yml therefore does not create demo_group or assign its roles at that version. Claire and Dillan do not receive the group's project access. The role may reject the key or ignore it, and the available evidence does not decide which. Bump requirements.yml to a release that includes the os_projects group support from PR #94 before this example is relied on.
