Install Git.

Download and install Git for Windows here: http://git-scm.com/downloads

Verify Git is installed correctly.

Locate "Git Bash" in your programs (if on Windows XP, Vista, or 7, it should be under the "Git" folder in "All Programs", accessible from the start menu). You will use this to run Git commands.

If all is well, congratulations! You've successfully installed Git on Windows.
