Adds a complete Vietnamese (vi) locale following TRANSLATION_GUIDE.md, wired into the app's language picker so users can select Tiếng Việt in Settings.
What's included
New locale files mirroring en key-for-key (570 keys, 7 namespaces):
src/i18n/locales/vi/common.json
src/i18n/locales/vi/launch.json
src/i18n/locales/vi/editor.json
src/i18n/locales/vi/timeline.json
src/i18n/locales/vi/settings.json
src/i18n/locales/vi/dialogs.json
src/i18n/locales/vi/shortcuts.json
Wiring (same pattern as existing locales):
src/i18n/config.ts: added "vi" to SUPPORTED_LOCALES
src/contexts/I18nContext.tsx: imports + vi message bundle
src/components/video-editor/SettingsPanel.tsx: vi: "Tiếng Việt" in APP_LANGUAGE_LABELS
Translation notes
All interpolation placeholders ({{...}}) and inline HTML (<strong>) preserved exactly — verified programmatically against en (0 mismatches).
Only 22/570 strings remain identical to English, all proper nouns / format names (Recordly, MP4, GIF, FPS, OS and cursor-style names).
Checks
npm run i18n:check — passes ("locale files are structurally consistent")
npm run typecheck — passes
UI preview (renderer-only mode, recordly.locale = "vi"): splash, editor and the Settings panel render in Vietnamese, and the Language row shows "Tiếng Việt" as the selected value — screenshots attached in PR conversation.
Scope note
Strings that have not yet been migrated to the i18n system (auth/cloud/library surfaces and main-process dialogs) remain in English under vi, consistent with the current state of other locales.
Summary by CodeRabbit
New Features
Added Vietnamese as a supported app language, with translations for the interface, editor, settings, dialogs, recording, shortcuts, and timeline controls.
Complete Vietnamese translation of all 570 keys across the 7 i18n namespaces (common, launch, editor, timeline, settings, dialogs, shortcuts), registered in SUPPORTED_LOCALES and the I18nContext bundle.
The app now supports Vietnamese across seven translation namespaces. The locale is included in the supported locale list and appears as “Tiếng Việt” in the language selector.
Changes: Vietnamese locale support
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Vietnamese translations and locale registration src/i18n/config.ts, src/i18n/locales/vi/*, src/contexts/I18nContext.tsx
The supported locale list and message map include Vietnamese. Seven namespace bundles provide translated interface text, including interpolation placeholders.
Language selector entry src/components/video-editor/SettingsPanel.tsx
The language selector includes the label “Tiếng Việt”.
Conflicting shortcuts can display literal HTML tags around the action name. This is a localized UI defect; the PR is otherwise mergeable.

Full details: Title check
Explanation
The title "feat(i18n): add Vietnamese (vi) locale" is short, specific, and states the main change: a new Vietnamese locale in the i18n system. The changeset adds the vi locale files, registers vi in SUPPORTED_LOCALES and I18nContext, and adds the Tiếng Việt label in SettingsPanel, so the title matches the primary change.
Full details: Description check
Explanation
The description follows the template's main sections. It has a Summary (Description), a 'What's included' list, Translation notes, Checks, and a Scope note. It also covers the purpose of the change. The Motivation section, the Type of Change checkboxes, Related Issue(s), the Screenshots/Video section, and the Testing Guide are not present as template headings. Screenshots are said to be attached in the PR conversation, not in the description. The Checklist is absent. Most required information is present, so the check passes, but the author should add the missing sections.
Resolution
Consider adding the missing template sections: a Motivation section, the Type of Change selection (New Feature), a Related Issue(s) entry if one exists, the Screenshots/Video section with the attached preview images embedded or linked, a Testing Guide with steps for selecting Tiếng Việt in Settings, and the Checklist.
Full details: Docstring Coverage
Explanation
No eligible functions found in the changed files. Skipping docstring coverage check. Docstring coverage is scoped to functions touched by this diff. Documentation-only edits and deletions within surviving functions are included; unchanged diff context and fully deleted functions are excluded. Analyzed 0 functions across 3 files. (7 skipped: 7 unsupported.)

Remove or render the markup in the conflict message.
When shortcuts conflict, ShortcutsConfigDialog.tsx renders this translation as plain JSX text. Users see literal <strong> tags around the action. Remove the tags or render the emphasis as a React element. (raw.githubusercontent.com)
