What happened?

get_extension_directory return empty.

logs:

"Failed to get extension directory for debugger: com.microsoft.java.debug.plugin0.53.2-.jar"
"Failed to create debugger directory ''"
"Debugger plugin path not set"
"Debugger plugin is not loaded"

What did you expect to happen?

java debugger work correct in remote host to debug java app.

@serveryang could you confirm whether the debugger JAR has been properly downloaded?

The file should be named com.microsoft.java.debug.plugin-0.53.2.jar and placed under Zed/extensions/work/java/debugger.

From the code the error you got happens right before the download attempt

Also, the name of the JAR reported in your log seems to be broken com.microsoft.java.debug.plugin0.53.2-.jar, notice how the dash is at the end rather than in-between the name and version number
